Basketball games deserve individual threads.
2-0 may win it at the rate we’re going.

Hard to watch. Careless with the ball and no shooters.

We’ve got big guys, but aren’t using them down low. Wilson Huntley Beabrun should be having a field day most nights.

Did we not try to get Bryce Cash? I guess it would be tampering but it happened to us. We recruited him out of HS.

We’ve attacked the rim tonight. Had our first 4 shots blocked at the rim. Huntley has had some success finishing tonight but Wilson is still really raw.

When you put on an Appalachian basketball uniform for the first time do you learn defense and forget how to shoot?

This one not so much so far.

The 7 footer is giving them all they want.

I thought Threadgill was supposed to be a shooter. What gives. Haven't seen much out of him so far this year. Doesn't shoot much.

Tate without all the hair will take some getting used to.

It is going to be a long season in the Sunbelt if we dont improve our shooting. We have good athletes who play good defense and compete hard but we just cannot seem to find the basket. Huntley and Tate cant carry us for the whole season. Free throw shooting does not seem to have improved this year either.

He was known as a shooter and hit some big shots in his time at Charlotte, but I don’t believe his shooting percentage was great throughout his tenure. He’s been a good facilitator for us, but I agree, he doesn’t look for his shot as much as I thought he would. Conners and Muttilib were also really good shooters in the juco ranks. Neither one of them seem to have much confidence yet, though.

It took us until the Thanksgiving tournament to find a stride last year. And that was with a team that was in tact.

Queens must have lost a lot from last year. They looked decent last year, this year they have a player that shoots 21% from FT.

A lot of Not Top Ten moments for both teams.

Huntley career high. Took awhile to pull away, but we did it. Hopefully our size can wear people down.

65-53. Not the prettiest, but better than losing. Learn and get ready for the next one.
