CJ Huntley & Myles Tate returning was huge. Let's not forget CJ taking a different role was a credit to our super deep bench this past season. He had a great season last year and I think he's going to have a monster year with the extra minutes. Similar situation with Tate.
The defense last year was fantastic and the offense was better, but wasn't really driving the wins.
But yah improving in KenPom YoY with the tough off season might be a bit much.... that said its not normally too far off from where things settle...

I take this with much skepticism. I hope it is reality. However, these kids have never really played together to see if chemistry is good. Time will tell

Look at all the hype and excitement around the preseason football polls…where has that gotten us?
Regardless, I’m looking forward to seeing what DK can do with this new group!

I think 118 is fair for us, just that maybe Arkansas State or maybe some others should be a little higher ranked and ahead of us.

Analytics are only as good as the data they're built on. We haven't played any games, and all our players are new. I'll start paying attention to kenpom sometime in January/February.

Then only preseason rankings I’ve seen were from a Lindy’s magazine in a grocery store…likely not a reliable source, but they had us 8th in the conference.
I’m interested to see which of the newcomers are ready to contribute right away because some will absolutely have to. A few were high level scorers at JUCO schools (Muttilib, Conners). Hopefully some will translate their games to our level successfully similar to the way Spillers did.

Gotta take a little broader look if you want to actually assess accuracy.

That is about what I thought we should be picked in the preseason. I have faith that Kerns can get us to 20 wins but we have a lot of new faces so it is impossible to have a firm expectation on this season at this point.
I'll get on for now, need something to lift my spirits.
