24/25 WISHLIST:
1. A roster
23/24 WISHLIST RESULTS:
1. Big Time guard addition via the transfer portal. - Myles Tate looks to be our guy for this to happen. Had an injury and not much success at Butler, maybe he can settle in for us - I'd say Myles hit plenty of big shots for us this year and proved his value to our team
2. Speaking of Offense, wish #2 is significant improvement to our offensive scheme. - This is the biggest thing i'm looking for this season. We are not finishing top 2 in the sun belt if we are running the same offense we have been the last few years This year according to kenpom we had an Offensive Efficiency of 108.3 which was good for 138th in the country. The previous year it was 101.2 which was good for 255th. I'd say that the eye test and the data show improvements offensively
3. Free Throw Improvements. We can't be dead last in the conference again plain and simple. Well we werent last, we jumped up to 11th in the conference at a 68% clip. By a technicality we imporved
4. Better Early season tournament - Wouldnt consider the Fort Myers tip off an upgrade over what weve had in years past, but a good location and competition at least - I'd say the competition (specifically the UNCW game) really was the springboard to our success this year
5. Roster / Staff Cohesion - vibes seem to be great heading into the season - vibes were great all year. No staff departures or mid year transfers / players dismissed from team mid season like had occurred in years past
6. Larger Media / Social Media presence - there has been an uptick in pre season content this year, love to see it
7. High Major Transfer Addition - still waiting for the year we land one. Crowley was a stud last yr for USM, Bickerstaff for JMU is proving major as they compete with #4 Michigan St tonight - Didn't get a "HM guy" but Tate and Spillers were HIGH QUALITY additions, players that helped us win
