We shall see tonight. If we play well and win tonight , we and other teams snubbed have a valid argument that they should have taken Va place...all theoretical...as we are where we are...so now...let's just go win!!

Yeah it's too easy to criticize the committee after a perceived bad or average team loses early but in the case of Virginia the consensus was that they were really not good and that their lack of any offense was going to get them quickly. Did those guys really think that against better competition UVA was all of a sudden going to regain some semblance of an offense?
It was kind of remarkable that, if you listen to people who covered or watched the ACC, it seemed they were almost unanimous in saying Pitt was better than UVA (which they clearly were). Yet we have to put in UVA apparently because Pitt's nonconference schedule was too bad.

Most champions (33 out of 38) of the NCAA Tournament were 1, 2, or 3-seeds fron 1985 to 2023. I know people like to get butt hurt over missing out on the table scraps....but you weren't winning a anyway.

Seed, Number of Champs, Percentage of Champs
1 24 63%
2 5 13%
3 4 11%
4 2 5%
5 0 0%
6 1 3%
7 1 3%
8 1 3%
