Re: NIT
I’m painfully aware of each of our losses and am not making an argument for inclusion , just stating a fact. I don’t recall us ever being 3-0 against the field.

Looks like ESPN2 has a NIT selection show at 9:30.

Re: NIT
Ridiculous. UVA has been very inconsistent and proved they aren't good enough. Those programs get multiple passes for bad losses but everyone else has zero wiggle room. We all know it's because what UVA did in the past not this year.
When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?

Re: NIT
After they select the first four...it should be a blind selection...you can only see the stats and not the team name. Wonder how much that would change the makeup. Indiana St should definitely be in... IMO

Re: NIT
Very simple... The conference makes a decent chunk of money for every game JMU wins. That money is split with the conference teams so App directly makes money (in addition to getting the benefit of the doubt when we're on the bubble in the future)/\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 6:29 pmMcLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 6:15 pmThat is straight up bullshit. Cooking the books for the Prig5 conferences. I literally stopping streaming off P+ as soon as I saw that. They know exactly when they lost me as a viewer.
I have done course work at Davidson, UMBC, William & Mary, and Teachers College-Columbia along with App State. I might follow those schools if they make it in, and that is about it. Daughters went to VCU and UNCG so some support for them and I work on the UNCG campus. I feel towards JMU as I do GaSo. I don't care how much it might help App State to see a Sun Belt team advance I see them as a MAIN rival and wish then nothing good, well, I have a VERY hard time rooting for them.
Same.
Guarantee you most students and fans at Rider weren't pulling for St. Peter's during their elite 8 run. And outside of it being mentioned as associated with the team, nobody was all of a sudden thinking, man we should pay attention to the MAAC. Not sure how it would help the Sun Belt as a whole for JMU to win. Maybe with multiple bids that made some noise in the dance it might turn heads, but not just one team. With that being said, I hope Wisconsin wins big.

Exactly. It helps our league and us. I am pulling for them. We could use the money!appvette wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 8:12 pmVery simple... Re: NIT
They don't belong in but they really don't have any bad losses in terms of bad teams. They are 13-0 v Q3&4 teams.

Re: NIT
Man, they let in six teams from the Mountain West. I know you want to make the "Prig5" thing happen, but the NCAA Tournament is annually the most mid-major/low-major-friendly thing in all of college sports.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 6:15 pmThat is straight up bullshit.
