Basketball: 26-5
Baseball: 9-2. It’s early.

Already 44 wins for the 3 major sports.

This could be a very impressive year if baseball can get near the 30 win total mark.

I'd asked before what was the best year in our history if you consider combined wins between the 3 sports. That year we made it to the baseball regional in Charlottesville and nearly won it did we win the football championship as well?

I recall a thread about the main 3 sports recently. Couldn’t find it so posted it here. However, I don’t think we were great in football or bball in 2012. Could be wrong but a good time to bring it back up. Basketball and baseball have some work left to do but it looks promising!

We need to just win. We don’t have any reputation at this point to rely on and that is fair. Remember Gonzaga has been there numerous times so they do have a reputation. That is why it is good to be in that same discussion. It does mean something IMO.

Agreed. I do believe App can build a reputation as a high mid-major brick by brick, season by season. Any combination of in-season tourney wins, regular season championships or conf. tourney championships help build that reputation.

At the moment the team has a higher KenPom ranking then the 2007 team that was in the bubble conversation. Actually one fewer loss, but only that one gnarly loss to Elon that arguably ended their bid opportunity.

That team actually went 5-2 in Quad 1 victories go figure!
