Definition of "abject" (according to Miriam-Webster):
  • Sunk to or existing in a low state or condition : very bad or severe
  • Cast down in spirit
  • Showing hopelessness or resignation
Yup, sounds about right.

Abjection!! Leaving Stinksboro and Ga with a double sweep! Enjoy the bus ride boys.

Not as good as yours, but I guess GaSo Abstained from getting a victory and probably Abhorred that final play.

Our conference just isn't strong this year. The American, West Coast and Mountain West were the only conferences last year to get at large bids outside of the Big 6.
The Mountain West has 4 teams in the Top 32 in NET ratings as of yesterday. and 5 in the Top 56.
The WCC has two in the top 26 and 1 more at #61
The A10 has Dayton at #18 and 7 schools (any of which could win the Conference Tourney in between #68 and #102)
The MVC has Indiana State at #24 and two more in the Top 60
The AAC has FAU at #28 and SMU at #42
Grand Canyon is at #47 and Princeton is at #54
McNeese is at #65

JMU is at #63 and App State is at #77, then LaLa is #119 and Troy is #144.
There's just no way that the Belt will be more than a one-bid league.

Was at a wedding with bad reception and saw tie in OT with like 2 mins left and couldn’t get an update until after the ceremony.

Could we save my heart and just get up like 20 in the first half and cruise please?

Bad reception? A dry bar?

In the past we would have lost a game like that by double digits. Down 6 at the have and 7 with 12 minutes to go. But this year's team is different. Even when they play poorly they don't panic. It feels like there is enough talent on this team that they can overcome a lot.

Only five more chances to support this group at home. Go App!

We are righting the ship in athletics by dominating stink, let’s strengthen our academics, now. I see the state of GA. has proposed a dental school for stink. We are a better school than stink. We should push for more post grad and professional programs. Heck, Wingate even has a Pharmacy School in Hendersonville!?!?!? Always good to beat the stink!

Agreed but every time any school in the UNC system tries to start a graduate program they block it and start it themselves. I remember something about UNC Concord wanted to start something then Cheat blocked it, and started one themselves in Charlotte.

Shame on the Bride and Groom for scheduling a wedding during BASKETBALL season 😂. With baseball on the horizon these weddings might be subjected to three months during the summer for us App fans.

To start, landing funding for professional programs (medical/law/dental) is a multi-year marathon, not a sprint.

To make it happen, you need a university Chancellor who is well respected and passionate about professional program creation. They must also willing to lobby, negotiate, fight, beg, borrow & steal to make it happen...and all without lighting themself on fire in the process.

Everts is not that Chancellor: she's looking retirement in the face and I doubt she has the energy/passion to pursue making this happen. On top of that, the debacle called "App State Hickory" has destroyed her credibility with the UNC BOT and the NC Legislature. Maybe when she graces us with her departure, App will go outside to recruit a dynamic Chancellor who would be willing to take up this fight.

Will you go into detail about why the Hickory campus is / was a debacle? Not attempting to start a debate or argument. Just curious and interested. Thanks.
