App MBB humbled Coastal 70-45 in Conway last week, but CCU rebounded with a win versus ODU on Saturday. Chickens play Thursday in Statesboro before coming to Boone.

WBB plays at 2:00 p.m. as part of the doubleheader and (most of) the football team will be there celebrating the 2023 Cure Bowl title with that weird-looking trophy.

Oh yeah, wear a jacket and gloves.

Beatings like that aren't what he signed up for.

Something is out to keep me from a basketball game this season as middle kid has strep now. Guess I'll watch from home.

Coastal's in a tight one in Statesboro. Wonder when they're travelling, because that last 20 miles up 321 could be rough depending on when they leave.

PSA: high of 11 degrees on Saturday, if going to the game but them online so you don’t have wait outdoors to purchases them.

Damn. That’s a time where the convenience fee is literally a convenience fee. Also, I hope wot the new parking deck they put in an indoor ticket plaza.

We really need to consider enclosing those entrances so people can stand inside to purchase tickets. That along with thenew parking deck would dramatically change the fan experience.

We are now in a first place tie with Troy. We should have a big crowd Saturday.

GaSo beat Coastal. Now the Chants gotta come up the mountain.

And USA beats Troy, so App State is now tied for first place.

Regular season conference standings starting to firm up. While it's still somewhat early in the season there are probably only eight teams with viable shots at a Sunbelt bye at this point. I think 11-7 probably does it this year for a bye. So I'd say App close a lock at this point. Troy's record/remaining schedule also favorable.

It's a bit more muddled from there. The remaining JMU game is huge for both teams. If App pulls off the victory JMU has a much tighter line to walk for a bye (as ridiculous as that sounds). Southern Miss, Georgia St, and Louisiana all have plausible routes to a bye. I can absolutely see JMU dropping one or both of the Georgia St games. I'd love to see JMU stuck in the #5 seed and forced into the tighter championship route.

It's crazy that fans are expected to pay a fee to buy online or stand out in the cold in a line with 20+ people to buy tickets. We keep talking about how to improve attendance and that's low hanging fruit in my mind.

Queens didn't even sell tickets in person... Take 2 minutes to scan a QR code, buy online, and scan. No convenience fee (lack of labor expense likely covers the technology expense)

Agree. It is complete crap that they charge a fee to buy tickets online when they are pushing us to go digital. Things like what you mentioned are exactly why I will not give a single dime for pay to play. With all the fees they charge that should be used to pay players. If a ticket supposedly costs 30 bucks or 50 bucks there should be a way for me to buy it for that without fees that jack it up to 75, 100, or more.

So, if they just charge you $75 versus various line items...make you feel better..

Not at all but charging a fee to buy online when it is cold as a convenience charge is crazy. I like the idea of having a QR code to scan so they don't need a labor fee. Buying tickets should be convenient without massive fees if we want to improve attendance. If we are selling out each night then sure go up on tickets but a good seat should be very cheap in basketball and moderately priced in football and easy to get when we are nowhere near a sellout.
