I’ll take beating JMU three times.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 7:05 pmIt would be nice to see JMU run the table until the championship game and lose. The Sunbelt would be a two bid league should this happen. Hopefully, it is App that knocks them out. If we could make a run including wins against JMU and Auburn we may would get a 12 seed instead of a 16 seed.

Re: ULM
If JMU runs the table and only loses in the conference championship game, I think we get two teams. A ranked 1 loss team with a win over Michigan State would get in if their only loss was in conference championship.

Re: ULM
JMU will not run the table. 2 losses .. potentially 3 losses to App. St. if we play them in tourney. Moot point.
I hope it plays out like this and they do not get into March Madness....maybe that leads to another threatened lawsuit by Attorney General...

Re: ULM
JMU making the tournament in that scenario would directly lead to more money for App. Why would you not want that?BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 9:59 pmJMU will not run the table. 2 losses .. potentially 3 losses to App. St. if we play them in tourney. Moot point.

Re: ULM
Poor 3-pt shooting and sloppy ball handling to start the 2nd half gave ULM a chance to make this one interesting. It was encouraging to see how App responded, especially where FT shooting was concerned.

Re: ULM
Having watched several of our games I have to ask, do we absolutely need to Jack this many 3's? We have size and athletic players who should be able to score in the paint. I know it's all about analytics but we seem to not really be that good from distance. Hate to harp on one particular player again but dang what's his problem? Speaking about the one who only fires up shots behind the arc.

Re: ULM
I was discussing his woes with the guy next to me yesterday. When he is on he is lights out. But when he is off, his misses are horrible. You have to wonder if he starts thinking too much.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 10:01 amHaving watched several of our games I have to ask, do we absolutely need to Jack this many 3's? Re: ULM
Felt like we were by far the better team, but 6 minutes of sloppy ball got them back in it. Any news on X, missed his D yesterday. The way he went down, it looked to me to be very serious, but on the cast yesterday, they were talking as if it was a game to game thing.

Re: ULM
If Mantis is hitting threes the analytics are terrible as his +/- on defense compounds the issue.
He lost his man half a dozen times on defense yesterday.
He’s 11-41 or 26% the last nine games. A steep decline from the first four.
Need to get healthy so we can rely on our team strenghts.

Re: ULM
I would want them to go undefeated, beat us 3 times and win a NC every year if we got " more money".appvette wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 2:04 amJMU making the tournament in that scenario would directly lead to more money for App. Why would you not want that?BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 9:59 pmJMU will not run the table. 2 losses .. potentially 3 losses to App. St. if we play them in tourney. Over the last several games we are shooting less than 20% from three.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 10:01 amHaving watched several of our games I have to ask, do we absolutely need to Jack this many 3's? Re: ULM
Just for the sake of argument under that scenario how much money would we get? I know winning tournament games equals units and future dollars but would we get enough to really be significant?bcoach wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 11:50 amI would want them to go undefeated, beat us 3 times and win a NC every year if we got " more money".appvette wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 2:04 amJMU making the tournament in that scenario would directly lead to more money for App. Why would you not want that?BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 9:59 pmJMU will not run the table. 2 losses .. potentially 3 losses to App. St. if we play them in tourney. Re: ULM
I can't imagine that Kerns is yelling out, "pass, cut, catch it at 30', now Jack the shot!" Over and over and over. Ignore the 6'11" dudes in the paint.hapapp wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 1:49 pmOver the last several games we are shooting less than 20% from three.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 10:01 amHaving watched several of our games I have to ask, do we absolutely need to Jack this many 3's?
