Agreed, will need his size but he barely even played tonight. Not sure why we subbed him back in up 10 with a minute left. He’s walking around on his own though.

Watched him walk to the locker room and seemed to be moving a little better than when he left the floor.

The stats and feel of the game seems like we should have won by more. But I’ll take it.

They’ve been a thorn in our side since they were the University of Franklin. I’ll take any win over them without question.

Auburn is playing that team we didn’t face in football in 2011 on espn2.

Re: Eastern Tennessee U.
Great game and I was really glad to be at Holmes tonight cheering the team on. Biggest difference I saw between 1st/2nd halves? was App was more aggressive (and very effective) on the offensive boards in the first half. Once they had the big lead, they backed off.
Regardless, it was a super win and the team looks great. Amazing what having a true PG or two will do for your team. I’m glad Kerns recognized that need and recruited to fill it.

Since we never played them, I have no idea who you are talking about. On a completely unrelated note, Marshall had some good out of conference games in football this year. They even beat Virginia Tech. I wish we would play them.

By and large I’d label us a good defensive team. But we have a couple of poor defensive players. Kerns did an excellent job of keeping his best defenders on the floor at key times in the second half.

I’m amazed we ended up with a guy like Spillers. He’s got good post defense fundamentals and has great touch offensively around the rim. Good motor and intensity too. Also like what Marsh and Tate bring to the table offensively.

Re: Eastern Tennessee U.
We essentially won that game with a bulk of the returners playing limited minutes. (Huntley, Abson, Gregory, Manits). Have a great core and there really isnt a difference between the 1st unit and 2nd unit. We're a solid 9 deep!NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 9:25 amI’m amazed we ended up with a guy like Spillers. Re: Eastern Tennessee U.
It appears so and that is big time because then we can keep players fresh. I don't expect to beat Auburn but I am hopeful we can keep it close. The team is getting better and I think we have a real shot to win 20 games this year. JMU looks like the class of the league though. They are going to be tough to beat.311neers wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 10:10 amWe essentially won that game with a bulk of the returners playing limited minutes. (Huntley, Abson, Gregory, Manits). No doubt. I think it is possible for sure. I am glad we got a team who is ranked because it helps the league.MrCraig wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 10:33 amWell, we've done it before....AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 10:16 amIt appears so and that is big time because then we can keep players fresh. Re: Eastern Tennessee U.
Not fond of Bruce Pearl. Something about him seems fake to me. I attended some of his practices when he was at Tennessee. Very arrogant.
