App down at the half, 48-36. NIU shooting over 56% and out rebounding App (20-14) in the 1st half.

I do not understand what we are trying to do on offense?

Okay. Football is kicking ass and basketball can’t shoot. I can live with this reality.

We’d be really bad without Donovan Gregory

Just watched a little. But hard to watch with not being able to finish at the rim and missing FTs.

We might not be a bad team but we really look like one today. Disappointing.
Expected much more than this,

And just like that, we’re hanging around.

If we could make some shots from 2'naway we would be great

Free throw shooting is pathetic.

Absolutely nothing disappoints like App State basketball.

Not seeing the offensive improvements we need to finish at the top of the sun belt

Troy took Oregon St to double OT yesterday, should be a winnable P5 game for us next!

I don’t want to be the like Dr Pepper commercial but this looks like most years for App bball. We certainly don’t look like a title contender in our first test of the season.

Meanwhile WBB overcame a 17 point 4th Quarter deficit to win by 7.

It was a very exciting game and I'm not sure how good Ohio is supposed to be however they left the building scratching their heads.

Stat line from yesterday at NIU was interesting. They were 24-29 FT and we were 9-16. A 15 point differential on 13 more attempts.
Might not have lost the game for us but certainly didn’t help. We made more 2pt FGs and out rebounded them.

For your own sake, don't put any $$$ on that! Troy MBB is light-years ahead of our program.

We can’t shoot. Even the free shots.

We look like the same team as last year. We don't have a deep threat that can get open. If Kearns is reading this please run an inside back out to Mantis play. Throw it into Abson and let him find a coming off a screen Mantis Three. We have to find a way to get open three point shots.

Mantis hit 3, Huntley hit 1, Harcum hit 1 from behind the arc. Two other players were a combined 0 for 2.
24 total points from 3 and FT combined.
Has to improve. This loss did not help our chances of going to the NIT if we don’t go to the NCAA tournament.
