Query: Does the arena really deserve the article "THE" before it? Crawdads for baseball. I can kind of understand. It's a dated facility but not in terrible shape and has a ton of parking. I'm not sure why the golf would be in Hickory. Yea,....no way the Sunbelt goes for doing stuff in Hickory with all the other possible locations in the Sunbelt footprint.

Maybe. I seem to remember a October/November type timeframe for senior event...not peak golf season ..It has been a long time ago when I lived in the area. I went to the SAC bball tournament there in about 2003 when I lived in the apartments behind the mall in Hickory. Might not be the best look, but I understand why we’re playing there. With the new Hickory campus and a decent alumni contingent in HKY, we’re likely trying to build some following for the team.

If we are talking about the game on 12/21 exams are done but students are mostly gone home.
