That’ll be a fun trip. We went to Gonzaga during exams for baseball and had a BLAST.

Yes.This is one of the road trips I referred to. When the full schedule is released, you will see how it fits together. I think it's going to be good for the team.

Re: 23-24 Schedule
Given Corvallis, I am sure OSU struggles to a certain degree getting OOC games at home. Given P5, not as difficult as App. Buy sure it is not easy.

This might be Oregon State's last year in a power conference.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 7:26 pmGiven Corvallis, I am sure OSU struggles to a certain degree getting OOC games at home. Given P5, not as difficult as App. Buy sure it is not easy.

Agreed. They just completed a large renovation to the football stadium..that is going to hurt if they borrowed money to build it...T-Dog wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 8:38 pmThis might be Oregon State's last year in a power conference.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 7:26 pmGiven Corvallis, I am sure OSU struggles to a certain degree getting OOC games at home. Re: 23-24 Schedule
A win over UNC-Asheville will be more impressive than a win over Oregon St this season
respect Kerns/Gillen for lining up the bottom of the barrel P5 teams to get wins over, last year Louisville, this year the Beavers!

Big fan of our non con schedule this year. Oregon St gives another "P5" victory to celebrate as they were 11-21 last year and have not improved that much. UNCW (N), ETSU, Queens, G Webb, and UNCA all opponents. I love seeing regional teams on the schedule as well. Auburn will be the obvious big home game, but Austin Peay is one that catches my eye. They should be REALLY good this year with their first year head coach bringing over his top 2 guys from N'W State to Austin Peay with him. They also have that Hansel Enmanuel kid who you have probably seen on social media as the talented one armed player who plays D1 basketball. Tremendous athlete and dunker, a very cool story. A yearly home and home with Queens will be a nice potential partnership as UNCC continues to chicken out from scheduling us as much as possible.
I also wonder where the Gardner Webb game will be played, interesting that the location is TBD

Re: 23-24 Schedule
The G-W game is on the traditional Sun Belt bowl game day, so it might not matter much where it is in terms of fans. It's after exams so students will be gone.
I'm gonna make the wild guess the game is dependent on whether the Spectrum Center is available that day. The NBA schedule usually comes out mid-August.

Re: 23-24 Schedule
Yeah, I wonder if we should not study that- perhaps we should rethink spending 100’s of millions on future expansion. Going to be hard to pay back if we end up playing 2nd tier football.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 8:43 pmAgreed. Re: 23-24 Schedule
Nice, fun schedule! The SOS might be lacking but lot of winnable games. Great to see several games prior to Auburn. Hope the students turn out in force for that game, nice to have it on a weekend. Anyone know if it'll be televised?

Re: 23-24 Schedule
A better schedule than we've had in recent years. We obviously have some scheduling challenges and this looks about as good as it is going to get. Question playing at Queens but but good to play in Charlotte. Would like to see someone other than Penn Central (whoever that is) at home. Wondering where we will play Gardner Webb? Hopefully not there.

Penn Central is a railroad. Its probably a team of employees.appfanjj wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 11:04 amA better schedule than we've had in recent years. Re: 23-24 Schedule
Just my opinion, but I think it’s an apples to oranges situation. The big revenue hit OSU is going to take is from TV money, App already doesn’t get a ton of money from TV, and even if there was a cut to the SBC deal, it would be a relatively minor cut in the grand scheme of funding. OSU is going to be missing, at the least, $10M a year that they thought was guaranteed.pop5app wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 6:02 amYeah, I wonder if we should not study that- perhaps we should rethink spending 100’s of millions on future expansion. I've seen it on a Monopoly board a time or two.. If you get all 4 of the railroads you can charge $100.ASU843 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 7:35 amPenn Central is a railroad.
