We need to take a long hard look at Kerns and the bball leadership. Every situation is unique but when there is this much unrest during a season, something isn’t right. Kerns has lost the locker room.
Remember when everybody said Clark had lost the locker room and to plan for a "mass exodus of transfers" at the end of the season and then that didn't happen because a very vocal extreme minority doesn't speak for the majority? That's just the way it is.

Look, I have zero information on what goes on in that locker room, but the guys on the floor seem to be playing hard and playing for each other and playing for their coach, our coach, App State's coach Dustin Kerns.

This year isn't an outlier either, Kendall Lewis left mid year back 20/21. Feels weird to have so many guys up and leave in the middle of the night (Ogletree, Eads, Zocko, Dibaji)

edited to add Coach Baskin as well, his departure felt off and happened overnight as well

Unrest? LOL. We are winning.
Seeing as we’re down to about 9 guys I’d say that something is up.

I do worry about turnover of personnel. The group of Harcum, Brown, Huntley, Abson and Mantis seem to play well together.(at least in this half of this game) Gotta have 3-4 newcomers that can play right away ,AND keep the returning five in school, in order to compete.

Dibaji is saying the commentator's news that he's out due to a knee injury is untrue and that "some things transpired with the program that didn't sit well with me so I stepped away from the team." Says he originally was going to Pensacola, but didn't.

Dibaji attended a funeral during the Georgia trip, which is why he missed those games, or so Kerns said.

Why in the ever loving H do we run an offense where our freshman center is handling the ball all alone in the post with no help anywhere on his half of the court? Abson got the ball poked away and resulted in a turnover and score for South Alabama. (early 2nd half)

We have no offensive scheme. Our hunt-and-peck offense (and thus our success) is predicated entirely on individual players getting hot.

Walker has the podium to himself, as there is no way the school can respond. Not a good look on his part.

Certainly seems like a lot of turnover. Could be a lot of different reasons for it. The general public will probably never know.

Iowa St. dismissed their star player from the team last night for being a cancer in the locker room.

Offense needs revamped in the off season. I remember in the pre season hearing we would play faster, take more 3's, and this was because we were deeper and more talented than ever. I'd argue this is our least talented offensive roster under Kerns.

Gotta clean up the TOS & rebounding. At least shooting well from the perimeter!

Right on cue USA is getting hot in the second half. We are far too inconsistent to stay with a team that's shooting the lights out. Currently at the 7 minute mark in the 2nd half. Next 4 minutes will determine if we have a chance to win or limp along to a 12 point loss.

Tough to watch right now, down the stretch! We just are not a good offensive team. They appear to play hard. I’m going to look at the body language of the team down the stretch. ( I remember Delphi’s’ last game, how disgusted he looked as time wound down vs. USC UPSTATE. I think he could have come back for another year)

Eligibility wise he could have, but he's currently getting minutes for the Austin Spurs G-League team. I'd say he's doing fine this year

Now if we had NIL money that could have equated a GLG/Overseas contract maybe that could have convinced him to use his bonus year!

good effort and clock management at the end to give us a chance. Just needed one more stop to have a shot to send it to OT. Proud of the guys and if this was Donovan's last game thank you for giving your all for Appalachian State hoops!

Just typifies this 16-16 season. One good half, one bad. We have lost so many games where we lead at the half only to fall off in the 2nd half. The way the first half ended gave me a feeling that things wouldn't go our way in the 2nd half. We can look so good at times and then it all just seems to go away. The team plays hard and they keep fighting, and that's to their credit. But...

I guess we now wait and see who will be back next year. We sure did wind up losing a lot of players along the way this season.

Hate I missed the game, wanted to see the boys go out on top.

Something is going on in within our program though.

You don't lose 6-7 guys you recruited in 6 mid season months if all is going well. Maybe we should take the elevator once in awhile. Hard to win games when 50% of your roster is gone and you can't practice 5 on 5.
