The standings look pretty good right now. Sitting in 4th. How many guys have we lost off the roster since the season started?

Anyone have word on Boykin? Going to need a heck of game to stun the herd. Couldnโ€™t see him on bench tonight or how he was moving around.

Those first two are gone , the others are or should be back .Boykin still a little gimpy but Teasett is available.

Good news about teasett and especially boykin. Thatโ€™s a shame about Zocko, was looking forward to him being involved next year. Kerns is a dog in the portal though!

We brought in 3 freshmen this past recruiting cycle. One didn't play a single game for us, one only played 43 minutes in 7 games as the highest rated recruit in program history, and the lone remaining player is Justin Abson.

Not a recipe for success imo

Hmmm, maybe it is best for program if they do not fit culture. Long term, could be better for program. Time will tell. We either will larger recruiting classes or rely on portal more for a couple of cycles.

In todays game , you build a roster year by year .The guys that left were not ready or able to break into playing time.

Win with who we got!!! Would have been nice to keep him for next year as gregory and boykin are gone. Just realizing this is walker and pearson final year too. Oh man, we gotta go deep! I trust kerns will find some gems in the portal again as we will have a good amount of scholarships open.

Justin Abson is, IMHO, one of Kerns' two best high school recruits (along with T.Harcum). Abson is starting and contributing. He was named Player of the Game by the coaching staff last night and got his first post-game radio interview. One of his second half blocked shots was highlight reel quality and had our fans on their feet. The guy was astonished by the kids clamoring for his autograph after the game. He's all-star bound if he continues to improve his game and continues to take care of biz in the classroom.

So assuming they donโ€™t transfer out, Abson, Huntley, Harcum, Mantis and Brown will be back next season? If so, thatโ€™s a great core of returning players.

Those are about the only guys we might return though. Keeping zocko would have been huge as his skill and talent level was good but maybe not the best family fit. Really makes landing Jakeel Powell very important as we now have 4 (If math is correct) scholarships open to fill by summer 23โ€™. Kerns going portaling again, same situation as last year, donโ€™t fret, weโ€™ve been here before!
