Oh boy that was a bad fall. Brown gets too crazy on high flying stuff
especially with boykin and teasett done. i do see teasett on the bench though which is a good sign.
Boykin is done?
Congrats Men on getting it done!

Great wire to wire win. I really hate Georgia State, no matter the sport, it’s just a matter of time before the thuggish behavior comes out.
GO APPS!!

Great win! Kind of hung on for dear life in the 2nd half....have a chance saturday to get to .500 against d1 opponents...would love to see us reel off 4 in a row at home or at least 3 in 1

Nice win! Probably thinnest bench we’ve played this season with Pearson getting the quick fouls.

Chris was 5-8 and 4-6 for 14 points in 20 minutes, difference maker.Terrance and Don were both strong , a lot of guys contributing tonight .Good win.

Better attendance. ESPN says 2,559. Season average (from Twitter earlier today) is 1,995. Still don’t understand why upper bowl sections are open. Even if we don’t have the tarps to cover them, have ushers walk around and tell people to move down.

Just watched the game, great first half, second we did just enough to keep them at bay. Mantis is such a good shooter, he needs to work on the turnovers and his on ball D. Keep crashing the boards CJ, I love it when he gets cheapies around the rim. X will be a truely dangerous weapon if he can develop a mid range shot and get +60% from the line. Wondering how long before teams just foul him whenever he touches it. This game could have been different is GSU was even avg from 3. Still, lots of good in this game, we never truely let them back in it.

Really good game. That’s two, well played, in a row. Let’s keep it up! But I’m not yet happy with the lead. They scare me to death, waiting for the 4-5 minute drought to show up.

I know what you mean but I just had this thought that when we play well many of our opponents also hit scoring droughts so I guess that evens out. Usually when we get a nice lead the other guys ramp up the defense and that leads to our turnovers and a few shot clock issues. We either weather those storms and put them away or we go into one on one mode and mess up our scoring opportunities. Free throw shooting is going to bite us in the butt when we eventually have to play against the top tier teams in more hostile environments (with actual crowds).
What exactly is the pack line defense that one of our commentators repeats over and over for home games?

We are 2-3 stops from being 7-0 since our loss to S Miss. 4 decisive wins, 1 buzzer beater win, an OT loss and a buzzer beater loss.
I usually don't like the "we are such-and-such away from all these losses being wins," however, I also don't understand some of the doom-and-gloom I've seen on some of these basketball threads. App is not a GREAT basketball team, but they are good and just a step or two away from being very good. Which, in my humble opinion, is a great thing for a team with a good bit of turnover from last season.

I think it’s the feeling that a collapse is coming at any time because we’ve seen that a collapse can come at any time. We can shoot lights out in the first half, get big leads, then pi** it all away. Streaks are a part of basketball, sure, but there’s a feeling that when this team goes cold they can’t recover. That, and we’re atrocious at inbound plays when the game is tight. Like, comically bad.

I actually like to watch this team and do believe that the potential is there to beat anybody in the league. However, the pressure can get to us as witnessed in several games this year. We've all been burnt so many times in the past when we thought we had turned the corner only to turn around an lay an egg. If Harcum can maintain this level of play on a consistent basis, this group will be tough to beat. Brown is beginning to show his talents as he gets to play more. Mantis is still hot and cold but he can be a huge contributor when he's on. This team is clearly better than the one I saw lose to Campbell back in November.

Those are all valid and true criticisms, but there's been some folks already saying things about Kerns that allude to him being fired or the season being a loss when there's still a good bit of basketball to be played.
Just like you said, this team could fall apart, but there's just as good of a chance that they put it all together and end the season on a tear.

Dustin Kerns has done a great job pulling App basketball out of the depths. I have no idea if he’ll be able to lift us to top 3 in the conference or more tournament berths, but I’d say chances are better that he can accomplish that than not.

We had tarps up as recently as 2019 (I'm pretty sure about that). Personally, I'm glad they are gone. The problem isn't where people sit, let'em sit where they want. I don't think we should discourage anyone from sitting where they want in Holmes as long as they are sitting
in Holmes.
