I'm always hesitant to criticize officiating, but man, the calls in this game were weird. Coastal shot 8 free throws, App only shot 7. But then, at the end of the game, the officials start calling weird, ticky-tacky fouls. Don't "let the boys play" for 90% of the game and then decide to call every little thing the last 10% of the game.

Coastal-App and TX State-JMU had an identical final score. Total fouls in CCU-APP= 24. Total fouls in TSU-JMU= 41.
Officials last night were REALLY letting them play.

The game is much more enjoyable when the officials aren’t seeking the attention and “let them play.”

GO APPS!!

I don't disagree. But, as I said above, last night's game the refs seemed to be letting them get away with just about everything, then all of a sudden would call some really specious fouls. All I ask for in an officiating crew is consistency.

You’re exactly right. That last foul call on us when Coastal’s guy took 6 steps before falling was ridiculous. Then to make it worse, they give him two shots. It was BAD.

GO APPS!!

Poor officiating for sure, but App continues to struggle with
  • Finishing strong, especially inside of 5 min mark
  • Consistent FT shooting
  • Inbounds plays on offense/defense
App is winning games ugly and losing close games they should be winning.
There is real talent on this squad; I'm hoping coaching can solve these issues.

In 2nd half last evening, there was zero dribble penetration compared to 1st half. Either JMU defense changed or we went into use all shot clock and then get whatever we can get
