We look like we don't need one guy to carry the team and score 25. I think a key to a solid team that can make a run is when you can get 5 in double figures with a few more dropping in 6 with the rotation staying solid. We might have that.
We have the team to keep games close with anyone outside the top 30, but we are going to need to find a closer.
Agree. Last year we had too many guys fighting to be that closer. This team ball concept has been a breath of fresh air. I rooted hard for the guys last year but you could tell by the end Kerns just accepted our backcourt was gonna chuck it up all over the place all the time

So true..this team is playing good team basketball with everyone on the floor capable of scoring. We have 1 player that seems to never pass once the ball gets in his hand. He seems to be getting less and less playing time. Kerns finally has enough players to demand you play his offense and defense or you are on the bench. I think we could make a run at the conference championship and if our 3's start falling at a 40% clip we could beat a lot of good teams in the NCAA Tournament. We have to win the sunbelt to make it.

That’s essentially what I predicted in the “what will 22-23 bring” thread during preseason. The key now will be doing it consistently.

Kerns being able to reach so deep into the bench after years past is fun to see.

Great to see Mantis have a good game, those 3s were clutch.

Really active hands by team on defense all night and solid free throw shooting in general although Gregory in particular great at the line.

I think this was a solid win for APPSTATE. I was concerned about a drop off from last year but not anymore. Way to play and fight gentlemen. Proud of these guys and our coaching staff

It’s 1a and 1b.
Gregory and Boykin. Boykin is going to seal games at the line for us

Been thrilled with the depth. Surprised to see no Eads. Hopefully he splits some looks with teasett. Not sure there’s a roll for zocko yet but holding out hope he can get some rotational minutes in scoring droughts.

I know Eads was dealing with a calf strain a couple weeks ago…not sure if it’s a recurring issue or something else.
