Boykin didn’t have a huge game, but he sure came through in the clutch a few times.HurricaneYosef wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 9:07 pmQuality win, Walker and X were huge down the stretch

Gamecast claims 6,149 in attendance.

Edit: Actual attendance 3,825. I read the attendance line wrong.

I think 6149 is the capacity of Freedom Hall Civic Center. Upper deck was plenty empty.

Such a small mistake. If that was the worst mistake I made yesterday I would consider it a wonderful day.APPdiesel wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 11:25 pmYep that’s on me. That was a facial of epic proportions!
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

The real mistake is ETSU not adding 1 more seat to make capacity 6,150. Makes you wonder whyMcLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Thu Nov 24, 2022 2:18 amSuch a small mistake. Yes. Sank the free throw and played a good number of minutes down the stretch.

FIVE guys in double figure scoring last night. Gregory, Boykin, Harcum, Walker, and Mantis all scored 10 or more. Huntley had 8. Abson had 7 rebounds.
I think we’ve got a team that can score all over the court instead of relying so heavily on one or two players. These guys are making crisp passes, seeing the floor well. I noticed a shift towards offensive rebounding down the stretch. The pack line means shoot your shot and get back to get your defense set, but this team can change tactics to an offensive rebounding strategy late when the game is tight.

I think we saw some new things last night.
Like man should x be the pg? He has great size great defense great athleticism and distributed it well.
Allows Harcum the 2 and he has been shooting really well.
Mantis might have figured out his role. That first layup got him needed confidence and he was a different player after that.
And at some point Abson should take over more mins at the 5. I like Pearson and his energy, but Abson is unreal.

We look like we don't need one guy to carry the team and score 25. I think a key to a solid team that can make a run is when you can get 5 in double figures with a few more dropping in 6 with the rotation staying solid. We might have that.

We have the team to keep games close with anyone outside the top 30, but we are going to need to find a closer.
