How do you discuss situations in a time out and not have fouls to give in place?

Someone has hijacked your account, the objectivity to criticize situational plays is scaring me.
If you need help blink twice ;-).

My guess is the coaches that see him practice every day know he's not ready for minutes yet...

Abson's shot blocking is a huge addition for our team, can't remember the last time we had a rim protector like that

That was a good team we beat tonight.

Good game. Down for most of the game and showed grit to push it out. NCCU is tough. So far an upside to this year. We are looking good. Keep it up!

Im guessing the latter.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 8:20 pmAbson is going to be a superstar for us.
Limited playing time for Mantis. Wonder if that's due to his knee injury last game or because his defense is still subpar.

We will get stronger and more in sync as the season goes on. Really enjoy watching this team.

We better get used to seeing the threes, because they are going to shoot plenty of them. I imagine it will be rather frustrating at times, but in others it will be fun to watch.

Yeah, App Bball on that upward trajectory. Kerns is the man. Played hard all night, lots of talent, some raw, but it’s there. Nccu played great in the first, made everything. We played a lot of team basketball, good stuff.

Re: Game Thread - MBB vs NC Central - Thu, Nov 10
I try not to be too antagonistic on this board, but I DID coach high school basketball for a while. The dislike/distrust of the 3 point shot is a bad, old school belief that needs to die.
1. 3 points is more than 2. I know this is simple, but many people simply do not seem to realize this.
2. A 3 point shot is not necessarily a "low percentage" shot. In fact, once you are outside of layup/dunk territory, the percentage chance that you will make a 2 point shot compared to a 3 point shot is negligible. So, you might as well shoot the 3 since it's worth more point. Practicing a 10 foot jumper is pointless when you can take a few steps back and practice a shot that rewards you with more points.
Now, I WILL say, I get very frustrated at teams that run down the court, kick it to a man in the corner who immediately jacks up a three, misses, no one rebounds, and you're back on defense in 5 seconds. The ball still needs to move and attempts need to be made to drive in. This was a problem with App a couple seasons ago, but it got a lot better over the course of last season. In the first two games I have seen very little of the "make one pass, shoot a three, run back on defense" offense.

Re: Game Thread - MBB vs NC Central - Thu, Nov 10
On being a 3 point shooting team versus 2 point team. It really depends on the team makeup. If your dominant inside, that's your game plan. On being a 3 point shooting team, you got to have shooters to perform. Yes the percentage should be lower than a typical 2 point shooting team...but getting 3 for 2. The question is whether a team is shooting at a reasonable % from 3 to offset what a higher % from 2. My observation from last evening, we do have some decent 3 point shooters and some that are 3 point shooting challenged. From a sample of one game (last night) this year and a sample of 5 or so last year...my opinion is we have certain players that should maybe not be shooting as many as they are. I want to see how season plays out to get full season stats for a final conclusion.
