Maybe the schedules just worked out that way, maybe it was planned, but to have this the weekend of homecoming...very very very smart.

Now, this needs to be promoted beyond the 11k followers of the MBB team on Twitter. With many opportunities lost in the past with regards to marketing (Some success stories as well) I hope that the ball is not dropped on this opportunity. Is Jay Bilas the equivalent of a Coach K or someone, no, but he's a well known name in the college basketball world.

Bilas is an outstanding get for this and will be more interesting than Roy and Mike put together

He's a great guy. Met him once while working at Eseeola while in college. He had just finished up a round of golf. We talked basketball for a brief bit.

Mike and roy are great but Jay is a top notch story teller and that is what you want as your guest speaker. All three of them have great stories to tell, but he is the best one to tell them.

You can look for this to be part of Homecoming week end going forward .I am glad folks are excited about the speaker but being able to talk to the players , have dinner with them , in a relaxed atmosphere is a good experience.Coaches too of course , but joking around with the players , talking about things other than basketball...it's a great investment.

I'm sure Jay will love his time in Boone and he will have great interactions with our fans. Hopefully he stays for the game on Saturday. It be cool to hear him talk about his experience and time in Boone during random air time while he's commentating on a top 10 matchup this basketball season.

I used to talk to him During his 1/2 lawyer 1/2 announcer days in the BofA Corp Center.

In today's world of sport "experts" some are good and knowledgeable, some are very good at what they do - Jay Bilas is the best. I always stop and listen to what he has to say - he doesn't play favorites, he says what he feels, and being an attorney he can add the legal insight, when needed, that most others can't

Everything was great last year except speaker system. I will be there!

Jay Bilas was the speaker for the tip off dinner about 15 years or so ago (when Fancher was HC). My wife and I spoke to him for a bit, really nice guy.
