Is there an APB out in Pensacola for James Lewis, Jr? He’s missing on both ends of the floor.

We generally have 3.5 offensive threats on the court at all times- JL never, Duhart junk baskets, JF no factor yet.

How the F was that not a flagrant foul on Justin. If you can't jump up and maintain control on where you land then that seems pretty flagrant. Maybe not an F2 but at least an F1.

Feel terrible for Forrest.

Go ULL tomorrow. GA St rubs me the wrong way.

Played hard to get back on it. That missed rebound and the foul on 3 seemed to be the turning point. Injuries were tough. They played really hard and Georgia St is a good team. Hope they win tomorrow.

Not our night. Not our game but I applaud the effort and it was anybody’s game with 2 minutes to go. Hate Justin couldn’t finish it on the floor an hope the young man that has given his all for Appalachian is gonna be okay.

Tough loss, but still great season by this team. Texas State getting automatic Nit bid by winning regular season probably leaves us out of post season. Being said, so proud of this team. Gonna miss all of our seniors & "COVID" super seniors. This team has come a long way from where we were 4 years ago. #goappstate #takethestairs

One day the 3 seniors on this team will come home for a packed game at Holmes and say “we did this”.

Listening to post game "Stay Ready" mantra by our assistant coach. Was that Frank Young? If so I'm so excited about this teams future.💪❤️

Team is trending in right direction. It was great to see young guys step up when their number was called liked Eads, RJ, and even Harcum with a late 3. Sign of program guys and continued success. Looking forward to see it.

Future is bright for this program. First key to recruiting is getting potential recruits on board that you are serious about winning. Second key is coaching that promise, creating results. Success then snowballs into a winning culture. So proud of what coach Kearns and the entire Mountaineer basketball staff have laid the groundwork for the future of this program. Reminds me of a guy that took the reigns of semi successful football program my sophomore year back in 1988. #takethestairs

Over the last two years in conference play, you never ever felt that this team was out of a game. Just a gritty, defense-playing, hustling bunch. We've got to find a way to score more easy baskets in the future. I really hope Delph sticks around for his Super Senior Season next year. I love what Kerns is building!

What are the chances that Delph comes back for one more extra year? We appear to have a decent core of guards along with a few small forwards. Hopefully Duhart develops a little more as well as a really good Huntley. I think we really need to check out the portal for a solid 6-9ish big to give us that presence in the paint. JL simply wasn’t a post up option down low. He got a few dump down dunks and his share of boards but offensively we played with about 3.5 weapons.

From all I hear, 4/5s of our starting lineup is gone. Next year can be a real challenge given the loss of experience. I would think we can't simply rely on the returning talent and the incoming freshmen to plug the losses.

We finished on somewhat of a downward trend as we finished 3-4 to round out the season. Did we simply run out of steam due to lack of depth or did folks figure us out the second time around? The lack of depth issue could be a harbinger of what needs to be done to restock for next year.

Hopefully, there is some level of postseason play for this bunch to get to play some more. It would be nice to get to 20 wins.

OK - need some facts here - I followed this team more closely than any other APP basketball team and those who have known me over the years know I am much, much more of a Glass-half-full kinda guy --- I totally agree Coach Kerns has turned things around big-time but here is what I need - Losing Forrest, Almonacy and Delph --- who/what is there to back-fill? - those guys were so key in turning things around --- What about Gregory?

Guessing you mean everyone is gone with exception of Gregory who is a Junior. Will be interesting to see how much additional turnover we have after that.

Assuming all lower classmen come back (big assumption), the depth looks like this:

Guards: Brown, Harcum & Littlejohn
Wings/Forwards: Gregory, Eads & Mantis
Post Players: Huntley, Duhart, Abson & Glushkov

Walk-ons: Greene & Muse

That gives App 3 open roster spots - including Roger Wilson's spot that wasn't filled prior to this season.

Getting an experienced post player will be important, but even more important in my opinion, will be finding a guard that can take on a huge chunk of the scoring load given Alomancy, Forrest & likely Delph departing.

Still very excited about the direction and future of the program.
