MBB vs South Alabama, Sat 2/19 4:30pm

16-12 App State hosting 18-8 South Alabama

App will need defense to play big in this one. They're averaging 73 PPG giving up 63 - App is scoring 66ppg giving up 63.

USA have won 3 in a row and 3 of their last 5, App has dropped 3 of their last 5. Both teams have 5 conference losses.

Looking out for USA guard Jay Jay Chandler who's scoring 16.6 PPG and shooting 47% from the field.

BPI has cooled on us a bit, giving App only a 53% chance to win. We have also fallen to 179 in the NET.

Spot on...play two solid offensive and defensive halves; hit free throws; avoid three, four, five and six minute scoreless streaks; and defeat one of the best teams in the Fun Belt on our home court. We have three home court losses to conference teams...and two home losses in-a-row have come in the last six days...making for a concerning trend down at exactly the wrong time of the season.

I don’t blame people for cooling on us. We haven’t been good the last 2 weeks or so. I don’t expect us to win more than 1 tourney game. We may have trouble getting out of first round if we don’t turn it around these last 10 days or so.

Those of you who are there…I believe James Lewis Jr has an optional extra Covid season (I could be wrong). Did he participate in senior day activities?

Adrien Delph should have that Covid year opportunity, as well. James Lewis Jr's case could get a bit messy with the NCAA as he's already had five years to play four. I haven't read the fine print on that rule. Man, we could really, really use both of those guys.

After a few minutes to reflect, I'm almost certain that we've had a few football players
back, courtesy of Covid-19, for their sixth season.
