Re: MBB @ UTA, Saturday 2/5 6pm
Nope, not even close. The first half was putrid and no other way to put it. One poster said we weren’t even on pace to score 16 and I wondered how this was the same team that had won 14 games. Not once did anyone say it was over. Just because someone speaks the truth doesn’t mean they’ve thrown in the towel.yosefederation wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 8:54 pmJust now reading this thread and seems we have several posters that give up on this team, and are quick to post their negativity even while still in the first half. Fortunately this team doesn't throw in towel when down like several on this board. Go Mountaineers #takethestairs

Next two weeks at home could get some separation. All four games are hugely massive.

I actually laughed at your earlier comment. I like the idea of a public apology. .. during football season, there should be a spot in front of KBS for all in-game emotional comments made the game prior. A public penance so to speak....like a swear jar...you have to make an additional contribution to Yosef Club.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 9:22 pmProtip coming up-it is possible to post on YC and not have to pay.

It is tough to win on the road...especially if you are a shooting team. Perspective of the arena/gym takes some getting used to. This group is well coached and have some talent. We are one of the most talented in the Sunbelt. It is hard to overcome a cold vs hot team. I am one of those that believe our NCAA team should be our regular season champ. However, I love the excitement of how important tournament time is. The biggest negative of being in a 14 team conference vs an 8 or 10 team conference is your chances of making an ncaa appearance drops a lot.

Agree completely with all points. Glad to be back at home weeks games and hopefully expand our first place lead in win department. On a side note, does anyone know the protocol for the the other teams tied with us in loss column making up postponed conference games?

Covid games will not me made up. Not sure about weather related postponed games. My understanding is you need to play 80% of the conference games to be considered for seeding and win percentage will determine the standings. I don’t know if head to head or anything else comes in to play.

If teams are tied in the loss column then the team with the fewest cancellations (most games played) gets the nod. This is per ChiefsFan on the Belt board. We’ve had no games cancelled so that will help us.APPChad90 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 10:39 pmCovid games will not me made up. Not sure about weather related postponed games. Funny, if anyone switched over to Duke-UNC they're doubly disappointed.
Missed a superb comeback win by App AND had to watch a beatdown by the Devils that was only close for a minute or two.

If I counted correctly there are 91 of 350 D1 teams with at least 15 wins. You would think that the number who reach 20 will be closer to 70. I believe we have a shot at it but that would mean 5-1 to close out the season. This group could do it.

Re: MBB @ UTA, Saturday 2/5 6pm
Still hovering around that 150 mark in the NET which is probably appropriate. When we’re hot we could beat a top 100 team or blow out a bottom half team. But when we’re not (and very often we’re not) these games are tighter than they should be.
We’re very inconsistent and unpolished but find ways to win. That’s grit.

Disappointed? No. Did not watch any of the Duke - NC game. Despise Duke but pull for them in basketball at least twice per season.

If two teams are tied in the loss column and one team has fewer cancellations, that means they have more wins and thus a higher winning percentage.proasu89 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 11:30 pmIf teams are tied in the loss column then the team with the fewest cancellations (most games played) gets the nod.
