What was the game a decade or so ago at the end of the season, maybe conference tournament game, and our sure bet free throw shooter missed them both right at the buzzer and we drop the game by one? Maybe it was already overtime.

It’s a telling stat that we’re 300-something in free throw shooting.

And we were one of the better teams nationally in that stat last year…with the same players.

Tough loss after fighting back in 2nd half to tie the game on the road. We played our game much better after halftime. Despite the 4th fouls on Jfo and DG in the last 4 min we still had a chance but that hampered us on D. I heard the FT stat mentioned too which was a little surprising because I bet are numbers rank better at winning time despite Justin’s uncharacteristic 3 FT’s at the end. Dang. Refocus and get it back Saturday. Hopefully, that was one is played since UTA’s game tonight was cancelled with the weather issues.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone much less a 70% free throw shooting veteran basketball player clank 3 free throws like that. Brutal

We came back from a 17 point deficit in the second half. Nuff said. We compete every night. We will win some and lose some. However, we always play good D. Keep fighting Mountaineers. Give the 2000 point scorer a break. We are in new territory. We are now the hunted and I for one love it. Thanks Coach Kerns and Team. Go get the next one.

Arkansas State just got upset at home by ULM.

App State is still in first place.

Losing is brutal but Justin Forrest is our guy and has come through more times than not in the clutch. Everybody stumbles. Also, ULM just beat Ark St in the last minute 60-59 so we are still on top in the Belt. Go APP!

My wife lost her mind watching those three free throws. She knows less about basketball than anyone. She does know that no one guards them. She is lost.

As was stated previously with both State and USA losing we still hold on to first but there are now 4 teams with three losses. Troy is now 6-3 and in second. StAte and Texas State are the other two breathing down our neck. If those three win tomorrow and we lose, we drop to 4th. Likely to be a dog fight to the finish line.

It was a great comeback. Tx. St. had many open looks in the first half an capitalized. At one point in first half, hey announced they were shooting 70%. They cooler off some by end of first half. We picked up defensive intensity in second half and attempted to take ball to the hoop instead of settling for 3 pointers.. Let's get the next one. 1-0 next game.

Wasn't able to watch last night, but knew we lost when I went to check our team twitter account and the last update was from the 16:49 mark in the first half. Expected the finale score to be us losing by 20+ based on that, but I see we almost pulled it out at the end.

What is our marketing team doing, did the ice storm cause the internet to go out in San Marcos? Being active on social media is so important for recruiting purposes these days and we seem to be treating it like it doesn't matter
