1-0 baby! 75-41 home win vs Lees-McRae. Faith Alston had 13. Michayla Porter had 14. Way to go ladies!

I was able to catch some of the game here and there. 5PM start time was tough to catch much of it. Porter looked like she deserves her pre-season All Sun Belt selection.

I will be interested to see how to replace Pre Stanley. A combination of Porter and Alston may be the answer.

App fell by four at Mercer on Tuesday, 61-57. Mercer is a solid team that will contend for a conference championship. The ladies played their asses off in what was most of the ladies' first game on the road. Janay had 22 pts and Emily Carver (freshman) was impressive with a double-double. A few shots here and/or better output at the free throw line and the Apps pull it out.

Great effort and effort will win some games!

App let WSSU hang around longer than I wanted to see but our women pulled away around the 8 minute mark of 3Q. 81-49. Final score.

3-2 with a mountain to climb on Wednesday. Taking on 4-0 Duke.

App ladies are giving Duke a game. Up 25-19 with 4:49 left in the second quarter.

Up 34-28 at the half, but Sanders just went down with what looks to be an ankle injury. She had 14 points when she went out.

Down 61-47 after three.

Down 65-59 with 4:18 to go.

We had a shot against a really good team! Proud of those ladies.

App 65 Duke 73 final. Gave them a good game.

Lost 73-65. We acquitted ourselves pretty well. A shot here or there, and it could have been a different result.
