• 2020-'21 Women's Basketball Megathread

This is a thread for all things Lady Mountaineer basketball. It's a little late getting started, but McLeansvilleAppFan is right, the women's basketball program is under represented on this message board. The megathread idea worked last year for baseball and softball (sports that don't generate a ton of individual game chatter) so why not bring it back for WBB?

As of January 19th, the WBB is 6-6 overall with some tough losses to major conference opponents but they've held their own, splitting all 3 conference series thus far.

Note: The metalhead in me wanted to call this a Megathred, but those of you who aren't 80s thrash metal fans wouldn't get it and would be pointing out a spelling error all season

1/22 (6pm) and 1/23 (4pm) the ladies travel to Georgia State 6-3 overall, 2-0 in conference (good for 2nd place in the league).

Thanks for setting this up. I’ll try and post something on Wed or Thursday each week but if someone beats me to it then I will not be offended. APPDiesel is taking care of MBB so others need to help with WBB.

Women led from opening whistle to 50 sec left in 4th when GaSt tied. In the 2nd period lead was up to 17. Win by 3 and I will take it on the road.
