Top 25 ranking?

With a win tomorrow night we may be looking at getting ranked or at least receiving votes. Let’s take care of business in Knoxville and see what happens. Go Apps!

Regardless, it’s obvious that Kerns was a terrific hire and this team is playing smarter, better basketball. I only wish the students had a chance to get behind the team with their attendance and enthusiasm. Keep it up App!

With an undefeated week then we probably could but the mid-major poll is a good gauge to see if possibly going to get votes in the AP or Coaches. Our only loss so far in Bowling Green has 2 losses and is #22 in the Mid-Major Poll for comparison.

I just hope we can keep it close with Tennessee and regardless of the result I believe in Kerns.

Maybe wishful thinking but I love college basketball and it was AWESOME when I was at App. Would love to see it at that level or higher again. A win tomorrow night would be sweet! Not impossible.

For years with football when we were down late in the game I was not worried. We did not always pull it out but I knew we had a good chance and we pulled more than our share of victories from the clutches of defeat.
For years with Men's Basketball I felt more like, "How we losing this." even with a 20 point lead.
But not this year. I believe in this team.

Over the years we have won with good coaches, been mediocre with mediocre coaches, and horrible with horrible coaches. We have a good coach now. Need to rebuild the winning culture. It can be done. Hopefully we are on the right track.

I'm with you. This team will get down by 8 or 10 and we come back. Tennessee is toughest team we play this year. I expect a 30 point loss. They are 2-0 and ranked #10 in both polls.

I was pretty surprised to see Tennessee favored by -19. Especially with both their/our style of play (good defensive teams). They were gonna be big favorites regardless but we simply haven't been losing games by that much. This team plays hard and I think they've got a very real shot. The team nearly took down Michigan last season and they've only improved since then.

We are 2-1 in games against D1 competition, with our wins against teams that have one win between them and that one win was against the team we beat with no wins.
I have been impressed with our play this year so far and certainly think we are capable of hanging around v. UT. However, I can understand the point spread.

I realized Tennessee was good but did not realize they had 2 5-star freshmen and they certainly look it. I am going to guess they have 3 make it in the NBA. I was hoping to keep it around 20 but I am not too far down on this score. They are the best team we play this year by a long shot and I would imagine they win the SEC.

Our bball team has made good progress and has a good upside but we are a long way away from a top 25 program. I’ll take a good run and winning the conference first.
