The ladies won their first round game 79-68...It's great to see a team that has been so snake bit and had a voodoo curse for the past couple of years win one in the tournament. Got to face #1 Little Rock next but congrats to the ladies!!!

A tough draw for the tourney, but not sure another seed would have netted the women another win. Two really bad years in a row for injuries with this team. The luck has to change eventually.

Also, the other senior Katelyn Doub has been out as her dad's health declined since Christmas and he passed away Monday. She will graduate.

Kalia Craven had hip surgery after playing limited early in the season. She'd have to apply for a second medical redshirt if she wants, otherwise she'll be a redshirt junior next season. A JuCo transfer junior didn't play at all this season and another junior transfer played very limited minutes, so this team was basically freshmen and sophomores.

This team didn't have an active senior after Christmas and so many new players. Eight wins is a small miracle.

The big thing going forward is keeping this group together in the off-season.
