I am hearing from a VERY reliable source not connected to App that after last night in the ACC tournament we will likely play Wake Forest in Winston first round.
Every thing is speculation, hope, wishful thinking.. whatever term one prefers..appgrad95&97 wrote: โFri Mar 15, 2024 8:34 amDoes saying you can't be on the bubble for the NCAA and the NIT count as speculation?
Thatโs half the fun of these boards!BambooRdApp wrote: โFri Mar 15, 2024 10:56 amEvery thing is speculation, hope, wishful thinking.. whatever term one prefers..appgrad95&97 wrote: โFri Mar 15, 2024 8:34 amDoes saying you can't be on the bubble for the NCAA and the NIT count as speculation?
at this point ...that is my point
They stoped trying years ago. They're outright doing it, and will come out on top when all is said and done.MrCraig wrote: โWed Mar 13, 2024 8:06 amIt's ridiculous that we are even having this conversation. I understand losses hurt more than wins help when it comes to NET, but App has as many Quad 1 wins as Wake Forest and Syracuse, and those teams are considered locks for the NIT and are NCAA bubble teams depending on their performance in the ACC tourney.
While everyone is gnashing teeth over NIL and transfer rules, the major conferences (specifically SEC and Big 10) are trying to monopolize college athletics.
There is a good chance the P6 home court will look more like our home court if Wake Forest in Winston Salem. Go APP!!!!!hapapp wrote: โFri Mar 15, 2024 9:41 amIncluding the 12 teams from the power six conferences, I count 24 teams with better NET than we have. It would seem our main competition will come from teams that are bigger names that have NET in our neighborhood. We sit at 72, someone like Memphis at 76 or Maryland at 81, could get the nod before us. I think we stand a good shot at getting in but its clear will more than likely travel to a P6's home court.
I can tell you I will be there from Raleigh with one more in attendance.spacemonkey wrote: โFri Mar 15, 2024 1:17 pmThere is a good chance the P6 home court will look more like our home court if Wake Forest in Winston Salem. It is just one game and remember that they beat them by 40 earlier in the season. I agree with 311neers that it does not matter and we will get the NIT invite regardless of what Auburn does in SEC tourney.Captain Morgan wrote: โFri Mar 15, 2024 8:25 pmdon't know if the SOS will help us that much with this game, but Auburn just crushed a 28-7 Scar team to advance in the SEC tourney
The Ivy may not participate in the NIT. Theyโre funny when it comes to postseason.
I doubt it would keep us out of the NIT.
Well, damn. Hope it wonโt hurt us.
