Davidson should help a bit because we'll get a home game with them. There's one way to bring in fans when the home team isn't good, and that's to schedule visiting teams that they've heard of. That was how I got into App basketball - showed up because we were hosting a top 25 UNCC team, and I was hooked.

Then again, App won that night and was good most of the time I was in school.

We played decent basketball at MSqG/NYC (Hofstra), at Texas and at UNC early last season. I see us playing well at Davidson. I don't have high hopes for the Duke game, because K has never forgotten Cantwell's team beating him in Cameron 30 years ago. He will do everything possible to crush us and then trash us with the press by talking about his players being so elite and ours being unworthy of praise. Can you tell I don't like the arrogant little rat. He's a lousy winner. He could be gracious in victory, but noooooooooooooooo. Those "win or lose, always--ALWAYS speak highly of your opponent" lessons that Bobby Knight was respected for just didn't "take" with K.

Yes, I'm sure Duke will definitely have that game circled on their calendar. Real grudge match, that one. :lol:

I don't have high hopes either, but that's more because Duke will have an absurd amount of talent next season.
