We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

this is gonna be a gritty game imo...having to travel all the way out to san marcos....3rd straight road game...i believe we win by 6 or so...get that 20th win then come home and play strong against toledo
Again, only the Coastal games have been breathers. We really haven’t dominated any other conference foes.
I disagree. As someone said in another thread, context is everything. The final scores may not show a blowout, but App has spanked a fair share of conference foes. App lead almost wire-to-wire against GA State in both games. GA Southern led for exactly 30 seconds in the first game against App. Just because App didn't win by 30 doesn't mean they didn't control the entire game.
So it's not enough to be 19-4, 10-1 in conference and a really good team now margin of victory is an issue? I have a hard time believing that the committee will ultimately break down teams to that degree. We have clearly demonstrated that we are really and have taken care of business (so far). How badly do we need to beat teams for it to be convincing? And if we destroy our conference teams that makes them look worse.
Not the point. My point was that it reasonable to expect, based on previous conference games, that our conference games are likely to be competitive games. And while we have certainly had some games where we were in control throughout, we have only really put Coastal away early and never were threatened. I'm thrilled with what this teams has and is accomplishing. My point was not to be critical of the team or even to expect more, just that we should not be surprised at close games regardless of the opponent. If we win the next eight regular season games by a point, I'll be satisfied.

If shots start falling from Harcum and Mantis for a whole game I could see some blowouts.
We are more than capable of doing that. And the one thing that clearly stands out is that this team finishes strong.

agreed...we tend to get better as the game progresses. A product of good coaching and leadership on the floor.

--ULM was down 3 with 4 to go in the game. We won by 12.
--USA was an overtime win. We won by 7.
--JMU was up by 1 with 4 to go in the game. We won by 4.
--GaState was down 3 with 3 to go in the game. We won by 8.
--GS was up 1 with under 12 to go in the game. We won by 10.
--JMU was down 4 with 40 seconds left in the game. We won by 6. This is probably the one game that lead comfortably for much of the game and then had to hold the opponent.
--GaState was tied at halftime. We won by 10 and had as much as a 17 point lead in the second half.
--GS lead at the half and for most of the game. We won in OT by 1.

From start to finish we only dominated one team, Coastal twice. That takes nothing away from our 19-4 record. We were the better team in every one of those games. And, the one thing it demonstrates is that this team plays cool under pressure and knows how to close out games. The margin of victory means nothing in terms of our record. It simply shows that we get everyone's best shot and in literally every win (save two) the games have been competitive. (FWIW, NET does take into consideration margin of victory).

I’d rather have a squad like ours which repeatedly finds a way to win close games versus one that blows most teams out but gets tight when they find themselves in a dogfight.

FYI, this is the best record for an App State MBB team since the early 1950s when the team played in Broome-Kirk and some of y'all first started talking about kids these days.

As good as our record is, we started the season 1-2, so have gone 18-2 since.

I like to break seasons up- football into 4,4&4 with the first typically the non-conference when you see what you have, the middle 4 and the last 4 to win the conference and hopefully finishing strong like we did this year. Basketball is kind of the 10,10 and 10. We went 8-2 in both the first and second 10's. The first 10 had 2 very easy games that really don't count along with the 2 bad losses and the huge win. We were really figuring out our team during those games. We went 8-2 in the second 10 with a disappointing loss and a tough loss but we obviously put it together and are rolling into the final 10. Better to be playing your best in the last third rather than starting out on fire and then limping in.

8.5 spread.

Can I just get a nice relaxing hump day with a 20 pt lead by half and nice and easy 20+ point win?

Most wins but not best record. 23-6 in '78-79. (That's as a D1).

Watching Troy v Marshall until we start- Herd is awful and seems content to die by the 3.

Love v Abson is a good matchup. Let’s see if Abson can stop him.
