Wow. We might look back on this half where it all clicked.

Holy cow what a second half blitz. Wilmington isn't a bad team and that was a beat down

It was a quality win, no doubt but App State has had a basketball program for over a century. I've been a dyed-in-the-wool fan for 60 years--plus. I wouldn't single this one out as the best ever. No way!appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 1:52 pmWas that the best half against a solid team we've ever had?
Proud triple-degree App grad--Classes of '66, '70 and '81.

Great effort to close out the 1st half, and that 2nd half….That was BEAUTIFUL.
Keep it going.

So glad we played well and got the win. We needed that. Let's do the same tomorrow. The second half against Norfolk State in the NCAA two years ago was a better second half in my opinion but the second half today is the one that currently matters.

Re: Fort Myers Tip Off
For those bemoaning playing in this tournament before the big win today and questioning why play in such circumstances, do not underestimate the opportunity it provides the staff to recruit Florida kids during the trip and the visibility it provides the program. After all, we have Abson and now Hayes both recruits from the state of Florida. Go Mountaineers! Give ‘em Hell!
