Re: Arky State - Away
Over .500 both in conference and total record walking into February. No longer the basement dweller. All signs point up. DK has changed my perception of our program in less than a season. These guys are playing beyond their perceived talent level. Like others have said I'd love to have a couple more bangers down low and another pure PG, but dag on these guys play so hard, if any team isn't ready for a dogfight we will steal a win.

I went to almost every men's and women's basketball game while in school 2011-2015, because I was in the band. Which were some rough years... But Kerns has really given me some hope and these guys can play hard. Gotta really give it their all each game, but I think we will keep improving.

Re: Arky State - Away
It's been great to see consistent improvement in this team all season. It just feels like we're getting better nearly every game (with a couple exceptions for sure and not including the games that Johnson missed since I think if he's on the court we win those).
UALR has clearly been the best team in the league, but I don't see any reason why come tournament time we couldn't find a way into a Top 4 seed. All the more reason why it's great having the tiebreaker over Arkansas St. After UALR we've got 5/8 remaining games at home. The georgia away games will be tough and could very well decide who gets the double bye.
Best start in about seven years and we haven't been more then a game above .500 in conference play in a decade. You have to go back to when Donald Sims was playing (btw his pro career has been legit overseas) to find a comparable season and we were at 6-4 in conference play before finishing 13-5 so who knows.

Half game back from Ark St. for 4th and that conference tourney bye. If App can go 3-2 over the next five (LR, Texas and Georgia swings) I think we're a lock for a bye, 2-3 over that stretch will probably mean sweeping the final 4 games. Beating GS and having the tie breaker over them and Ark St. would be huge.
