Good lord the free throw struggles. How does that happen? Something we’ve been so improved at all season the whole team goes cold. Great job battling and getting hot again at exactly the right time.

Big win. This team is one of my all time favorite teams to pull for. They NEVER whine...they just play hard. All of them. They all give 110 percent amd very unselfish.

Got to give Mantis credit- big 3, nice assist and nice box out rebound all near the end to seal it.

There are 351 D1 basketball teams and currently 54 have at least 11 wins- App is in the group. Means not much but still cool to me.

Gregory now has the most wins in App history. His impact on the program is vastly underrated.

Shew! Mantis was clutch with that 3 in OT!
That was a good shot due to the selection. He didn't try to hit a shot while falling away or from five feet beyond the line. Still, he was 2-6 on the night and only 13-47 (28%) since the UNCW game, and that drops to 10-40 against D1 competition. He has to shoot better than that to justify being on the floor since he doesn't really standout in any other area.

A good win over a team we always struggle with and we overcame a lot of adversity with fouls and FT's.

That was a really soild win. This team does not quit, and unlike the past few years: THEY CAN SCORE. Troy is going to be a tough game Saturday. Winning that game will be HUGE!

We got depth. That is a big factor. I would like to see us press more full court... really mean it ... versus showing and retreating.

If we’re going to play an up-tempo offense (like we did last night), I doubt we’ll have the legs or the fouls to give to press much on defense.

If they track alley oop dunk shots made per game we have to be among the national leaders. When we D up and force turnovers or misses and get out in transition we are really good. Our half court offense bogs down and gets us at times and in our half court defense we seem to get beat off the dribble but you can't be great at everything unless you are a loaded P5 I'd imagine. We had two key guys in foul trouble and held what looks like a decent to good team to 2 points in a 5 minute overtime. That was impressive. You'd think that in that 5 minutes we would have fouled a shooter a couple of times and allowed some free throws.

Speaking of free throws. As bad as we shot what was behind the thinking of their coach at the end? Gregory got a rebound with 38 seconds left and we were up 7. They didn't foul. I'm pretty sure I even heard their announcer say "you can't foul here". I know that coaches often throw in the towel when they figure it's over and say not to foul but that seemed a bit weird. Like the rest of us I'll take it but wow.

I would have been upset if Kerns would have thrown in the towel down 7 at that point. I would have fouled Spillers on the inbound before that possession as well. USA has a good coach, and honestly that was out of character for him.

And appears he is an avid yoga participant or just gifted flexibility. Some of those positions he was in on the sidelines.. impressive. If I had to do those positions, I would be have to tap out....🤣🤣

Great road win in OT. Our guys played well. Hopefully our free throw shooting won't cost us some close games down the stretch. Feel like we are developing into a good team.
Beat Troy tomorrow.
Take the stairs!
