We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. It's in Greensboro but they are playing High Point. Neutral site game.

And using the Fieldhouse were the Swarm play, as was done last year. A shame we can't afford to rent the main bowl as it is sold out. Even the special events center can hold more than the Fieldhouse, though not as nice it can certainly fit a court, has displays for clocks and concessions stands available. Seems demand for tickets is there.DomCrosetto wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 8:24 pmIt's in Greensboro but they are playing High Point. Neutral site game.

Can't believe this is sold out. I'm happy but now I'll have to look for tickets on the secondary market ha!McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 9:14 pmAnd using the Fieldhouse were the Swarm play, as was done last year. My son has a hockey game in Greensboro later that day so I was going to pull double duty and take this in before his game. We'll see if I can make it happen now.

Re: tickets Dec 14 BB Greensboro
My understanding is HPU made arrangements to take most of the tickets

Why not just play at HPU then? They have a great arena that seats around 5,000.

Why not home and home ? Apparently they see no benefit in coming to Boone. And we won’t play in their place without reciprocation. Rightly so. My opine.

I'd agree but with what I've heard about High Point, they think VERY highly of themselves (different tax bracket) so I can see why they'd snub their noses toward us. Don't agree with it but I can totally see it happening. As far as I'm concerned, their loss!

Re: tickets Dec 14 BB Greensboro
HPU gives out free tickets to some of their games. I wonder if they purchased these and doling them out. I doubt it but I also would not put it past them.DomCrosetto wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 3:52 pmI'd agree but with what I've heard about High Point, they think VERY highly of themselves (different tax bracket) so I can see why they'd snub their noses toward us. It my understanding that we offer home and home to most of the D1s in the region. They don't have alumni bases or recruit many students from the High Country so they see little value.

Re: tickets Dec 14 BB Greensboro
Will none of the HSBC schools play Home and Home with us???? It is downright criminal that these schools will not do a home and home....especially the UNC schools. Terry Holland was so right. Rivals are local.
ECU, UNCC, Wilmington, Greensboro, WCU, NCA&T, NCCU, Fayetteville State, UNC Ashville, Winston Salem State...Why would they not want the home and home games? We would buy a lot of tickets.
It seems like the UNC system would get involved.
App vs Davidson should be an annual contest as well as Wofford and Furman, ELON. I know, Private schools, UNC BOT has no say. They would be easy home and home for both teams.
