We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: 2020 Transfer Commit
Looks like a great addition! I assume he would have to sit a year though (at least under current rules). Is that correct or are there any special circumstances?

Re: 2020 Transfer Commit
According to the JMU stats page he is a career .548 FT shooter. So he should fit right in!

I like that Kerns is able to go all over to find guys. And he looks like he can play.

Re: 2020 Transfer Commit
He did not make the All-NE-10 squad but averaged 15.6 per game last year. Looks interesting.
I can't help but notice Kerns is going after transfers and makes me think he believes these guys can help us increase the win total heavily in year two. Hopefully we can find a way to keep Kerns around for a while and are not just praying he stays past year 2. Everything is looking good so far. It feels like we are definitely in prime position to make a big jump this year.

Re: 2020 Transfer Commit
It's my view that the jury is still out on the journeyman, Almonacy. He played only sparingly in 2016-17 and 2017-18 at D-I Stony Brook. In 2018-19 he was a student at D-II LIU-CW Post (Brookville) but apparently DNP. He transferred over to D-II Southern New Hampshire for the just completed 2019-20 season and is now transferring back up to D-I App State as a grad transfer.
He averaged low single digits in his two years of D-I play. His name was on the roster at LIU-Post-Brookville but I can find no stats for him there. On the other hand, he had a very successful season in D-II ball in the just completed COVID-2019-20 season at SNHU. He's about to play for his third or fourth collegiate team against better competition than he's ever faced. I really dunno what we have here. Hopefully, we have a nice surprise awaiting, but...

Re: 2020 Transfer Commit
The real test will come from meshing this influx of new talent with what returns and the ability to replace what has departed. For me, there are a lot of question marks beyond just the talent on the floor. It's up in the air what our schedule will even look like.

Social distancing shouldn’t be a problem for basketball, just remove the tarps.
