Anyone coming to the baseball game Tuesday at Knights Stadium. We have 10 going. I hope we have a good showing so this might become a regular scheduled event. We try to get to Boone to see a couple of games each year, but Charlotte is much easier. The downtown ballpark is very nice.

I'll be there. Excited to see the Apps in the Queen City. Any good local (near BB&T Ballpark) restaurant suggestions that we can eat at before the game?

Both the Piedmont Alumni Chapter and the New Lake Norman Chapter are reaching out to their members and hoping to have a good turnout. Pregame for APP folks is going to be held at Mellow Mushroom. We hope to get folks together for a group APP photo at Romare Bearden Park as well. (Park is right across from the BB& T Ball Park) Join us near the stage area in the park before the game. LET's GO APP!!!

Tickets are purchased through the Charlotte Knights website. Look for the Red Ventures college series on the left of the ticket page. I think all seats are either $10 or $15 dollars. First pitch is 6:05. The Charlotte and Lake Norman Alumni chapters are having a pregame gathering at Mellow Mushroom at 5.

Mellow Mushroom, French Quarter, Valhalla, and Greens (hot dogs) are all good options within short walking distance. Not sure if Greens will be open at that time though.

I'm glad Green's Lunch is still around. Haven't eaten there in years. May have to make a trip this summer.

I will be there. The ball park is right around the corner from my office. Unfortunately, the friends who were going to join me had to cancel.

Wake won 10 - 7. App mounted a comeback but it was too little too late. Other than a couple of bad innings, App played them tight. Good crowd for both teams. Wake did much more for the fans with towel give aways at the gate, t-shirts tossed into the crowd and the Demon Deacon mascot being present. Don't know if this was because they were considered the home team or it was a lack of marketing on the App side. Also went to Mellow Mushroom before the game, lots of App fans their but hardly anybody from the athletic dept / Yosef club.

We noticed the same thing. I think this was considered a Wake home game. The Atwood kid crushed that home run. There was no doubt about it as soon as it left the bat. We had a great night. I hope they continue doing this.

It was a "home game' for Wake since they played in Boone two weeks ago. Despite that App had the majority of the fans there. I would like to see us host a couple of big name teams there for games in the future. If we can get back on track I would imagine a game against a big name could draw well after seeing how many App people showed up to see an 11 win team.
