Unless App State rallies in the bottom of the 9th, Youngstown State will win their first game of the season. We have committed 3 errors and trail 2-1 in the 9th.

Another throwing error at SS gave them the go ahead run. Strike out looking to start the 9th.

A backwards K and 2 more Ks and we're history 0 for the season continues. Looking like a long season. :( Need to find a SS, Dobson is a good hitter and we need his bat, just don't know about him playing SS.

Youngstown State was NOT a good team. They had lost 3 in a row to the UAB team Samford blew out and were winless coming in.

Two throwing errors by Dobson. First one didn't hurt but the second plated the winning run.

I know it's early in the season, however, with today's loss it's apparent the program has taken a slide with Pollard's departure. Currently, we are not even an average program. As a matter of fact, we're not good period.

Tell ya what, I'll give "them" the fact they have been on the road all year and have played some of the best competition around. However, today's loss does raise an eyebrow.

Baseball is the only major college sport where a badly outmanned team can beat a superior team and it happens often --- reasons being - line drives can be caught, bloopers can drop in, bad hops or bounces happen all the time, the team ahead can't milk the clock, the team behind knows they still have a chance (if you are down 10 in basketball with 30 seconds left it is over-if you are down 2 scores in football in the last minute and the other team has the ball it is over), they still have to pitch it and you still have a chance to hit it, a pitcher gets hot - there are many reasons ---

If this team were getting beaten 10-0 time after time, I think both eyebrows could be raised but 1 and 2 run games really could have gone the other way with one swing of the bat or one more called strike --- I certainly think it is way too early to start to panic ---

In that case, with the law of averages (being winless that is)), we should take down a superior team in the very near future. Regardless, in my humble opinion, there is no excuse in being winless at this point!

Man I hope WE are holding ourselves and our personal success to the same high standards.

Could we at least win 1 for "The Gipper"? ;)
