Fun fact about that song. It was either 86 or 87 and Marshall Tucker was playing outdoors on campus. They were in the middle of “Fire on the Mountain” when lightning struck nearby and that was it.

It brings back solid memories. Pollard played it after every game. Tamping the mound, cleaning the dugout, taking photos with families, high fiving the boys. All to the tune of Fire On the Mountain.
I believe we still play it for baseball. About 15-20 years running now.

I’m afraid our best catcher might have transferred out.
Dropped 3rd strikes, passed balls, no production at the plate.
They are young and will get better but we have been spoiled the past 5-7 years behind the plate.

Had our chances multiple times.
We go as Zamora and Kam go.
Bats don’t seem to be as good as in years past so we really need those guys.
Tibbett and DiRito will be our bullpen workhorses. It was amazing to watch Dirito get out of the tough stuff.

Gotta win 2. We still have our horse left today.
