From what it sounds like they’ve only had a few days of outside practice. That’s why I thought it was important for them to get as many innings in today as possible you just don’t know how many days up in Boone that you can get out there in the next couple weeks.

Everyone loses a few they shouldn't. Guys haven't been on the field much all winter, and much of that came when they busted down to Marion for a few days. It's a long season.

On the B&G podcast yesterday, Kermit mentioned having 11 straight days of outdoor practice recently. No excuse to lose to Queens.

Take it for what it’s worth. The other site said they have only been out 5 days since break. Is there another holiday break that I’m missing?

Part of me agrees with Stonewall..and part of me says it is just the beginning of the season and Game 1. Hopefully, the team improves with more games. From one sample, got a long way to go to compete for SBC championship....and that is what the regular season goal should be in every sport.

Don't know how you can get anything out of the first game of the season (baseball) whether it be good or bad. Not like other sports where 25 games are the max. Guess my thinking is different.

On a more positive note - game might get pushed back but looks like there is a window to get the game in. Anybody gonna venture to the game? I was thinking about it but 45 degrees has me thinking otherwise

I just don’t see Queens as a near peer athletic program. If they are I’ve wasted a lot of money. But hey if we beat Duke or Wake later in the season I’ll call it a wash.

Getting it in! Moved back to 4pm so plan accordingly.
