No respect for Boyd

Arkansas State isn’t going to let Tolley beat them if they can help it. Doesn’t have much to do with Boyd.

It has to do with Boyd some. They just put Tolley on 1st with a runner at 3rd. That means they don’t respect the hitter behind him. Doubt they’d IBB Tolley if Boyd was his usual self.

I disagree. They would have done the same thing for anybody in our lineup, save for Holderbach.

Correct. Boyd as his usual self is Holderbach. they don’t think much of Boyd right now.

He threw fine- threw strikes and not many hard hit balls at all. No way we should be throwing fastballs in 1-2 counts with his curve as his out pitch. What is this pitching coach doing?
We need to get out of this inning though and limit to 6-3.

I assume they went with Sleeper for the Lefty/Lefty matchup. Think he was facing 1 batter regardless. Unfortunately he threw a wild pitch and gave up a stolen base before walking his 1 batter.

Ark St tried to go lefty on lefty but they couldn’t switch pitchers because of the prior mound visit rule with the same batter! Moronta laces a 2 RBI single off the righty.
