We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

2013 NCAA BBALL TOURNY
Elon (only socon rep) goes to Virginia. Our new conference Sun Belt gets 4 teams in tourny. Also found it interesting in regional sites ( Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Charlottesville, Blacksburg, and Columbia). Not really sure where we will go, all have good teams.

Both the Big South (Liberty and Coastal) and the CAA (UNCW and W&M) are sending two teams to the tournament. Also two likely SoCon newcomers (Mercer and ETSU) made the field from the Atlantic Sun. Seems the SoCon got no respect this year.

I'm not sure the SoCon earned respect this year.hapapp wrote:Both the Big South (Liberty and Coastal) and the CAA (UNCW and W&M) are sending two teams to the tournament. Also two likely SoCon newcomers (Mercer and ETSU) made the field from the Atlantic Sun. Seems the SoCon got no respect this year.

Re: 2013 NCAA BBALL TOURNY
Western was the only team with an at-large shot and they had no marquee OOC wins. Breezed through the SoCon but going 1-1 against Wake isn't enough to build a résumé.
I do think the SoCon will be a multi-bid league in 2014 though. App, Citadel, Elon, GSU and Western should all be very solid.
