A walk, a hit batter, an RBI double, a 2 RBI double, a 2 run HR, and another walk off P Trey Tujetsch in the bottom of the 1st. Pull him.

The football equivalent might be giving up a kickoff return for a touchdown then a PIC6, then a quick 3 and out.

That’s what happens when a midweek guy has to throw on Sundays because the Sat/Sunday guys didn’t pan out. Fridays are our fighting hope this year. Trey was pretty good during mid weeks and deserved the chance to throw on weekends. We just don’t have the arms. Have to score 10+ to win on Sat/Sun.

Down 8-0 T2. Walks, Walks, and more walks, and timely hitting for Georgia State. We’ve got to find some pitching talent and guys that can throw strikes or we are toast.

We are last in the Belt in ERA by a half of a run per game. Add to that that we are 12th in the conference in fielding. We are going to have score a lot of runs to hope to make mid pack of the Belt.

Didn’t think I’d say this but we miss Tuthill bad to be the Sat/Sunday guy. He’s a capable SBC arm. 10-3 heading to B3. At least we are scoring a little, time to pour on the hits and limit the damage. Bullpen day!

There might be better pitchers walking around campus , playing intramurals.

We’ve got a big review going. Fake bunt, runners stole, catcher threw ball off batters helmet trying to throw to 3rd, runner scored 10-5. Under review though. 0 outs B4. Georgia State coach living. Call stands, runner scores!!! 10-5 B4 no outs runner on 3rd for App.

Sac Fly! 10-6. Pitching change for GSU. B4 1 out, no one on. Back in it, keep chipping away.
Georgia State coach was still barking at the ump during the pitching change.

I don't think it's either hyperbole or an exaggeration to say that we probably have better arms on campus. There are lots of guys who played ball for years and even excelled in high school but simply played so long they either got burned out or have no desire to play ball- basically on their own dime.

We had 1 club guy try out and make the team as a catcher. Pretty good ball player. Outside of that, there is a semi decent talent gap/work ethic. I’m sure some could make it or play an inning here or there but the regiment isn’t for everyone. We also had a few guys on the baseball team work out for the football team in front of Jerry Moore…a couple had a shot but Pollard shut it down. Ton of athletes on campus giving their all.

No doubt in my mind, Dillon Dobson was one of the best athletes on campus during his tenure. 6’3 220 lb shortstop. Could windmill dunk at the SRC, could throw a football 60 yards after workouts, ran a 6.8 60 yard dash. Similar to Brian Quick athleticism. We tried convincing him to talk to Moore/Satterfield but he knew he had money coming in the MLB draft.
