This game changed COMPLETELY. College baseball is so much fun.

Good lord. When I said the other day that we would have to win by a football score I was hoping I was joking.

Interesting call to not bunt with your lead off guy on base. Anyone care to explain the thought process to swing away?

Whew! Guess a win is a win. Winning any series is better than losing and it looked like we were getting smoked at home. Could have set off a bad season. Now we might springboard off the momentum.

I never want to hear an App Baseball announcer exclaim "what more could you want?" when the other team hits a game-tying homer in the 9th inning ever again.

I don't think it's either hyperbole or an exaggeration to say that we probably have better arms on campus. There are lots of guys who played ball for years and even excelled in high school but simply played so long they either got burned out or have no desire to play ball- basically on their own dime.
Honestly, I don't believe that - but I really have nothing to base that on other than my knowledge of baseball

I should have said, better than some of our pitchers. We have had some good performances and a good bit of batting practice. You can't just throw 88 down the middle of the plate against good college hitters. If you can't mix up speeds and hit spots your offense will have to put up 10+ runs for wins. I absolutely have zero knowledge of any non baseball playing stud walking the campus and don't advocate an open tryout for pitchers but we aren't going to win a bunch of games like today.

I know we have done some nice upgrades to Jim and Smith stadium in the past 3 years...
1. New turf which was probably the best move ever from a publicity standpoint.
2. New batters eye, hitting has improved, but so has opponents hitting haha.
3. New scoreboard, major plus to have this.
4. New terrace seating, fire pits, landscaping and outfield loge box.

Are we at a point where we need to expand the bleacher seats? The stadium looked PACKED and full for the whole weekend series. Maybe people in Boone just had spring fever? Might not hurt filling in gap above the Home dugout and locker room/office area with bleachers to increase capacity. I do love how we have separate areas/viewing perspectives to hangout and watch a ballgame from.

At the end of the Bodenheimer construction, a renovation is in play. Have to remember, this was family weekend, and a great weather weekend.
