Need to close this out. A sweep would be awesome.

So far we’ve given up 11 walks with one wild pitch and two hit-batsmen.

Isn't the Sunday starter supposed to be the best pitcher on the team? Or is that different in college baseball?

Depends on coach. I believe it is Friday for best scenario. Win Friday..only have to win one over next two days. I like to get the Friday win.

I would think that your Friday guy is your #1. The most consistent, reliable guy to get the series started off with a quality start which saves your bullpen from getting over-worked.

Friday 1, saturday 2, sunday 3. Mid week usually if you have a 4/5 guy or long reliever/bullpen by committee.

A sweep is nice! Pitchers will get dialed in, it was cold in hickory. I like our bats so far, need to rack up as many W’s in OOC as we can.

SEC has a 10 run rule for conf games this year to save arms/injuries. Will be interesting to see how that plays out, probably won’t have many 10 run rules in that conf.

Last year we could get out to good starts but couldn’t close out with leads. That’ll be the make or break difference this year.

We had a ton of injuries on the pitching staff last year that severely limited our options. A few guys gutted through injuries for the entire season. We should have more quality arms available this year.
When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?

Was hoping for nice weather on top of a hot start for the first game of the year in Boone this weekend. It’s early but low 40’s and rain. They may play all 3 in Greensboro.

Might be better for our boys if they stay in Greensboro for the whole series.
Otherwise, that's a lot of bus rides for everyone.

The Friday game versus A&T is at Truist Point in High Point. So it's a neutral/home/away series.

Great day for some Spring Ball. Any idea who's getting the start on the mound? We need this one big, luckily we didnt use many arms last weekend. Haha Hewlett Packard U.
