Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. 2022 Softball Mega Thread

We’re late getting this going. Same as baseball, a season long continuously running thread for softball. If anyone really loves softball and wants to help keep this going with first pitch times, wins and losses, etc this season that’d be awesome.

That said…

Ladies are off to a 4-1 start. 2-1 in the Elon tournament. 2-0 through Saturday 2/20 in the Presbyterian tournament. Playing right now, a 10am first pitch vs Detroit Mercy who we beat 5-1 Saturday. Up 1-0 middle of the 4th. Also, today is a double header so the ladies will play PC at 2:30.

Most games are not on ESPN+ so the best place I’ve found for updates is following the official softball Twitter feed, turning on notifications during games.

I expect good things from the team. However, competition in the sunbelt is a step up from our past experience. It seems, though, that this teams’ improvement over the years is a result of being built to compete at a higher level!

5-2 overall.

Friday 5pm/Saturday 2pm/Sunday 12pm series vs Louisiana in Boone. Outfielder Kayt Hudson is a beast! .394 batting average .711 slugging percentage.

Woo! 4-1 win in game 1 vs Lousiana. Pitcher was lights out. PBP guys said Louisiana has won 70 straight sun belt series. 2 more chances to end that streak. LFG!
