With the loss, we are now tied for last with UTA.

When was the last time we won a conference game at home? Are we in for another sweep at home as well? This isn't looking good.

How’d the last inning go down? Did Louisiana tie in the 9th and we walk off? A lot must’ve happened between 5-3 in the 8th to 9-4 final.

Sounds to me like App scored four in the bottom of the eighth, went up 9-3 after eight and won 9-4.

And, I think only two walks.

Last three series against Georgia State, who has lost 9 league games in a row; at UTA, who were at tied with for the final tournament spot; and vs Troy, who is in 5th right now and playing well.

The next two weeks are seemingly must-wins to make the tournament (top 10 go to the tournament), but seeds 7-10 are in play-in games. However the other teams right above us are teams we beat on the road, Little Rock and ULM. That 9-game league losing streak really hurts us in the standings. Even 2 more wins from that stretch would put us in a position to maybe steal a Top 6 seed.

GSU was looking strong a few weeks ago and even made an appearance in the poll. They seem to have fallen apart. I hope that trend (losing) continues for them!

Correction: I'm not sure they actually made the poll, but I know they were getting votes.

This is a great weekend for us to separate in the standings... UTA is at Louisiana, Ark State is at South Al, and ULM plays TXST at home. Winning 2/3 puts us in great position.
