South Carolina is 6-1 so far including a 3-2 series win over UNCG. All three games were close (based on score). I'm sure they're favored, but I'd love to see the Apps pull off the win. GO APPS!

Two out grand slam in the bottom of the first was a nice start to the game. Added a run in the 3rd. Cocks got one one back in the 4th but it could have been worse. We got a bases loaded, two out strikeout to get out of a huge jam.

It always amazes me how many pitchers we go through. I know it’s early and we’re trying to get everyone some work. But a lot of guys rotate through.

This team makes an awful lot of mistakes. Bad pitching, wild pitching, throwing errors, loading up the bases. Where is coaching to correct these things? Eventually Kermit has got to steal a couple of these big games. I get that Duke and SC are good but we’re getting up early on these teams and then letting them back in.
I’m critical because I care and want them to be a top half of the sun belt caliber program. We’ve played sub .500 ball 4 out of 5 years under this staff.

It's early and things may change as the weather does but I wonder if App baseball has hit it's ceiling. No doubt there has been improvement over the previous regime but we seem stuck at a point where are competitive but not good enough to get over the hump. Again, the season is young but it's a bit frustrating to let the opportunities slip away for a signature win.
