Apps trail 12-5 late.

Lose 6-12, as of late our team has taken a step back, regressed for some reason.

Lack of consistent pitching is the reason for the regression. We also play in a top 5 or 6 league. Put those 2 together and it doesn't bode well.

Games against Sun Belt competition is one thing, but, a six point loss to Davidson and the loss against ETSU are more puzzling. We are struggling against non conference type opponents we were defeating a month ago, not looking good.

We have few strong arms, and the ones we do have are needed for the weekend. I wouldn't read too much into the mid-week performances.

Over the last 10 games our team ERA has ballooned. We have been competitive this season because of our pitching. If that trails off, we will really struggle to stay in games. We were third in the SBC in ERA, we are now 8th.

Unfortunately, with it seems too many of sports not called football, we have to live with the refrain, "Wait til next year". It did eventually work for the Cubs, so keep the faith. One day...

The Sun Belt may yet get to 5 or 6, but right now we are the 12th rated league. FYI, the SoCon is 10th.

The Sun Bet's RPI is currently 11th I believe, actually below the SoCon.

Lack of consistent pitching in only part of the problem, consistent errors are pilling up. APPears we are our own worst enemy.
